3 Day Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

Queen Elizabeth National Park is a 7 hour drive from Kampala, to the south-western part of Uganda. The park is found in the western arm of the Great Rift Valley and has an array of habitats including savannah grass lands, forests, lakes and rivers that support a tremendous amount of remarkable birds and various animal species. 

 

Day 1: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park (7 hrs)
At 6:30 am, your guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast.  During your time on the road you will pass through the town of Masaka town stopping in Mpambire, the village where Uganda’s best drum craftsmen are found. Our lunch break will be in Mbarara. Reach the Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in your Lodge. Do not miss the experience of watching the beautiful sun go down in the wild jungle.
Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/ Bush lodge Bandas/ Bush Lodge (tents)

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park- safari deeper in the wild
Get up for a hot cup of coffee at 6:30am and delve into the wilderness.  Have a thrilling drive through herds of buffalo, elephants, and variety of antelope species. We are on the lookout for the big cats, as they hunt down their prey this early morning.
Have your lunch at the Mweya peninsula where you’re bound to have a few warthogs as your guests. 
After lunch, head to the Kazinga channel for a 2 hour boat cruise. This natural channel connects Lake Edward to Lake George and comes with an astounding population of Hippos.  As you sail, be entertained with buffaloes, elephants beating off the afternoon heat along the channel banks. The striking variety of bird species dotting the sky is just as amazing.
Do not miss the mesmerizing view of the golden sunset in the wild world.
Dinner and overnight at the Mweya safari Lodge/ Bush Lodge Bandas/Bush Lodge tents

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth – Kampala (7 hrs)
Drive back to Kampala after breakfast.
Have Lunch in Mbarara.
